Modification Lawyer

Experienced Modification Lawyer The Woodlands

Once a Texas court enters an order for the conservatorship, possession, or support of a child, that order will remain in place for so long as the child is subject to the court's authority or until the order has been modified by the court. Provisions in a court order pertaining to the conservatorship, possession, and support of a child may be modified if there has been a material and substantial change in the circumstances of either the child or of a parent of the child since the date the prior order was rendered by the court and if the court determines that the modification relief requested is in the child's best interest. If you feel that this threshold has been met and you desire legal counsel to guide you through the modification process, please contact our office to schedule an appointment to discuss the grounds for modification and how best to prepare to have the prior order modified. We will also discuss options for resolution of any disputed modification issues in an attempt to avoid any protracted litigation.
